BLUE STAR MUSEUM SUMMER PROGRAM - MAY 18 - SEPTEMBER 2
Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military. More than 2,000 museums like us, across America, participate in Blue Star Museums each summer. These include children's museums, art museums, history and science museums, zoos, and nature centers. You can find participating museums at arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.
NHTM has participated in this program for over 8 years and we are proud to offer complimentary admission to active duty military personnel and their families during this summer-long program. The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military–Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum. Find out more at FAQ.
The 2024 Blue Star Museums program begins on Armed Forces Day and ends on Labor Day. Thank you for your service!

Her non-fiction project, Code Talker, is the memoir of Chester Nez - the only memoir by one of the original Navajo code talkers of WWII. Published by Penguin/Berkley in 2011, it is still a bestseller. She is the winner of the NM/AZ Book Award and NM Press Women Zia Award.
