Our new Sound Wave Lab has over a dozen stations that explore electricity, sound waves, and communication. Be a switchboard operator, type on an antique typewriter, use morse code on the telegraph, play a tubulum, learn about an oscylinderscope, and more! TRAVELING TRUNKS FOR SCHOOLS The NH Telephone Museum is excited to offer traveling trunks. Inspired by the telephone, each trunk consists of artifacts, books, hands on activities, and lesson plans. Lessons last about 1 hour. The NHTM Traveling Trunks are FREE to public schools thanks to grants from: Northeast Delta Dental and Concord Chamber of Commerce Elementary School

ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, LIBRARIES, HISTORICAL SOCIETIES, SENIOR CENTERS, AND MORE Live Free and Dial - Let us present about the history of the telephone! Our museum educator will bring a collection of vintage phones and show how the telephone invention has evolved over time. Learn about the race to the patent office, the liquid telephone, the undertaker who invented the dial system, party lines, and switchboard operators! Un-phone-gettable Movie Trivia - highlights famous movie scenes with movie trivia and learn about the vintage phones used in each scene! We bring phones from our vast collection! Let us visit your library to read a story about how sound waves travel, the telegraph, or how much fun a good old fashioned game of Telephone is! Program includes a story, activities, and a craft.
