​SCHOOL & HOMESCHOOL GROUPS
​The museum has over 1,000 artifacts and two hands on rooms to explore.  Our new Sound Wave Lab has over a dozen science stations that explore electricity and sound.  Also, experience being a switchboard operator and connect calls to phones within the museum.

​Pricing:  $6 per student with 1 chaperone free

​TRAVELING TRUNKS FOR SCHOOLS
​The NH Telephone Museum is excited to offer traveling trunks.  Inspired by the telephone, each trunk consists of artifacts, books, hands on activities, and lesson plans. 

Trunks are accompanied by a museum educator and are FREE for the 2024-2025 school year thanks to our NH Humanities Grant. 

Lessons last about 1 hour. 

​Elementary School 
  • Communication​ - Braille, morse code, and nautical flags are just a few of the communication tools we will investigate. 
  • Tinkering with Telephones - Build circuits, talk into tin cans, create sound waves, and dial vintage telephones.
  • Apollo 11 - Listen to the Apollo 11 astronauts on a vintage phone, investigate ejecta patterns on the Moon, and more! 
Middle and High School
  • WW1 - Examine and identify dozens of WW1 artifacts including a field phone and pigeon.
  • Apollo 11 -   Listen to the astronauts on a vintage phone and learn about the race to space during the Cold War.

ADULT OUTREACH!
​ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, LIBRARIES, HISTORICAL SOCIETIES, AND MORE
​Let us travel to you and present about the history of the telephone! Our museum educator will bring a collection of vintage phones and show how the telephone invention has evolved over time.

​​LIBRARY STORYTIME!
​​Let us visit your library to read a story about how sound waves travel, the telegraph, or how much fun a good old fashioned game of Telephone is!  Program includes a story, activities, and a craft.
